Immortal non life molecules that replicate themselves?

This is the start of real life replicators. They only stop replicating when they run out of substrate apparently. Which means if they are engineered to use anything.. well you get  the idea... "all hail our new robot overlords!" (i fear i may be using that phrase too much.)
