For the most part they are bunk. I'm interested in truths and possibility of the future, not hearsay and rumour.

So don't lump me with the hippies and drug addicts, don't put me with the astrologists and whackos. You can call me a common sense everyday theorist. I will not be leading anyone to drink cool aid, no one needs gas masks and I don't encourage vegetarianism. Essentially... Don't Panic. (and read a good book!)

Holding anyone for years and subjecting them to any kind of torture is wrong. Especially if there are no charges. Especially if they are somewhere where the law doesn't apply. It isn't about whether or not anyone kept there is a terrorist... its about human rights pure and simple. What the Americans have done there is wrong and us Brits are just as bad by allowing and encouraging it in any way. Dammit. Its stuff like this, stuff you secretly now is wrong but are perhaps afraid to say because people might think that because your not OK with torture and unjust prison captivity, your somehow pro terrorist. Well sod it... its wrong. Is eroded our sense of right and wrong... and it will only lead to bigger bites being taken out of our moral code. Soon enough it will seem OK to execute without trial.

How comfortable would you be if the government wanted to make a secret ****** list? Its a big one this... it could easily be shrugged off as "protection" and for the most part i'm sure that's what its designed for. But you know that it would be used for more nefarious means. Noone should be ok with *********.

You expect it from overtly oppressive governments and regimes... but those  living in our Antipodes are supposed to be relaxed beer drinking fellas and sheilas right? We already know they dont allow games that are rated adult. Not even purely for adult consumption. They deem it unsuitable and that reeks of control and oppression.

The EU can really be very awkeward.

Who let them get into power? Who voted for them? Who agreed that they could have such power over how we live and work? Voting in a government that then decides to allow a SUPER government with nearly no countries allowing a referendum (thanks Ireland for giving in the second time around) seems a bit like a dick move. Now they are talking about internet companies needing real premises? Why is it up to them? Not a major thing i guess, not for most of us, but a marker on the road to subjugation.
