This is the start of something. A start of a blog to follow the current trend of decline. The trend of the downfall of civilisation.
Through governments taking advantage of their people, to civil liberties and rights being abused by parliament, to bio-engineered virus and bacteria, nano-bots and AI. Anything that we do that could be seen as a signpost or a way point to the final conclusion of civilisation as we know it will be mentioned here.
My view is this.
Our civilisation, our capitalist democracy that we know and love in the west is going to fail before too long. It will be entirely our own fault. I love our current system. It has worked well on the most part. Without capitalism and without our democracy I shudder to think where we would be, but every civilisation of man has ended, and it seems to me that this one is coming in to land now. I don't know what's to come after, but I want to document why its happening. We are unsustainable. A monetary system based on fake money and fake credit. Farmers being paid subsidies for products they haven't grown or reared. We are at the peak and it will soon dip. Not merely through our banking system falling apart or being radically changed... but also through the governments of this world changing our freedoms. CCTV, fingerprinting, and so on. You know.... the things that make you angry and you know are wrong... but can do nothing about. Even voting in a different government wouldn't help... and that's all the power you have to change things.
Not only these abuses of freedom, but through advancement in science. Don't get me wrong... and call me no Luddite... Science is a fantastic thing. It truly is stunning to think we are so advanced now. And we are. Invisibility cloaks, hover cars and transparent aluminium are stupendous achievements, and no longer banished to the realms of science fiction. But there are sinister experiments going on. Surveillance techniques, bio-engineering of targeted diseases with the need for a "kill switch" and nano technology and AI development which may one day lead to not only a cure for all disease, but weapons that cannot be stopped. There are upsides and downsides. The LHC for example, which may advance our understanding of particle physics tenfold or it may full on destroy the planet. Just speculation, but if real scientists are discussing the possibility, then we can assume that it is that. A possibility.
Essentially I will be documenting anything that scares or should scare people. Things that give you the heebie jeebies or make you sit outraged at your computer screen.
In short... all evidence that this civilisation is failing.
Thank you for your time.
